Air returns, but not as relief. The body starts again as a mechanism: circulation resumes, functions come back online, and movement returns without any restoration of what was lost.

This is reanimation without recovery. The body is breathing again, but only because it has been made operable. What comes back is not the person as they were, but the ability to continue.
